Privacy, data tools and backups
Where to find retention settings, patient data tools, the Data Processing Agreement record and a full backup.
Where to find it: Account & Settings → Privacy & Data
Steps
- Open Account & Settings → Privacy & Data. It holds privacy and retention, the patient data tools and the executed Data Processing Agreement record.
- The switch “Patients can download their own file” controls whether the patient portal offers a download button. When it is off, the portal hides the button and tells the patient to ask the practice for a copy.
- For a full practice backup, open Patients and choose “Download full backup (ZIP)”.
- Deletion requests from a patient are recorded with a badge on the patient and a banner in the patient file; the practitioner's email address is told at once.
