Import your existing patients

Bring a spreadsheet, CSV or TSV into MyDosha. You review every row, and nothing is saved until you confirm.

Where to find it: Account & Settings → Import patients

Open this in the portal →

Steps

  1. Open Account & Settings → Import patients. A practice with no patients yet also sees this on the dashboard.
  2. Upload a spreadsheet (.xlsx), CSV or TSV with a header row. Download template gives the recognised columns in your portal language.
  3. Each column is matched by its header, in several languages, without AI. Pasted free text is the exception: AI drafts the patients, clearly labelled, and you check every row. That needs import parsing switched on under AI Controls.
  4. The review screen shows every row. You can edit each one, and rows that match an existing patient are flagged, so you decide what happens to a duplicate.
  5. Confirm to save. If the connection drops, Retry continues where it stopped and skips rows already saved.
  6. The final report lists every row: created, recovered, not imported with the reason, unknown or not processed.

Good to know

Notes in an import are added to Other intake notes, not to private notes. Only an explicit “practitioner notes” column stays private. On a plan with a patient limit the screen says how many more fit.
