Patient files and sharing them
Keep files with the patient, private by default, and share a file with the patient when you choose.
Where to find it: Patient → Documents
Open this in the portal →Steps
- Open the patient's Documents tab and upload a file. It is stored privately and never read by the AI.
- To show a file to the patient, choose “Share with patient”. It appears in the Documents section of their portal, under “Shared by your practice”.
- “Stop sharing” takes it back.
- Photos the patient sent in messages are listed here too, and open or delete like any file.
Good to know
A file is private until you share it. A patient's own photos cannot be shared back to them.
