The patient experience, step by step

Here's exactly what happens from the moment you share the intake link.

1

Patient opens your branded link

They visit yourname.mydosha.org — your subdomain, branded with your clinic name. No login required. Works on any device, including mobile.

What they see: A welcome screen with your clinic name, a brief explanation of the intake purpose, and GDPR consent. They tap "Begin" when ready.
2

Phase 1 — Dosha assessment (Questions 1–13)

Veda (the AI) conducts a guided conversation covering constitutional indicators: body type, skin and hair qualities, digestion baseline, sleep patterns, energy rhythms, temperature preference, and emotional tendencies.

Format: Conversational — Veda asks one question at a time and adapts based on the previous answer. Quick-select chip buttons for common answers, plus a text field for elaboration. Available in English, Dutch, and German.
3

Phase 2 — Lifestyle assessment (Questions 14–25)

Seamlessly continues into current lifestyle: wake/sleep times, diet type, water intake, exercise preference, skin and hair concerns, supplement preferences, and menstrual health (where relevant).

Language note: Veda detects the patient's preferred language from their name and responses and switches automatically. A Dutch patient will complete the intake in Dutch — you still receive the dossier in English.
4

Phase 3 — Clinical questions (Questions 26–30)

Five focused clinical questions: chief health complaint, how long it's been present and how it started, current medications, allergies and existing conditions, and what the patient hopes to address in the consultation.

Why this matters: These five questions are where most of the red flag data comes from — medication interactions, contraindications, and urgency indicators are surfaced here and prominently flagged in the dossier.
5

AI generates the dossier

As soon as the patient submits, two sequential AI calls run automatically. The full 8-section dossier is generated in under 90 seconds.

The patient sees: A brief "preparing your summary" screen, then a confirmation that their intake has been sent to the practitioner. They receive a confirmation email automatically.
6

You receive the dossier

The full structured dossier lands in your inbox. If you're on the Clinic plan, it's also available in your portal immediately. The email includes all 8 clinical sections, formatted for rapid pre-consultation review.

Typical timing: Dossier delivered within 2–5 minutes of intake completion. Same-day appointments work well — most patients complete the intake a day before.

A glimpse of the dossier

This is a condensed example of what each section looks like in a real dossier. The full output is approximately 800–1200 words across all eight sections.

🌀

Prakriti Assessment

Vata 58% · Pitta 32% · Kapha 10%

Dominant constitution: Vata, with secondary Pitta influence. Key indicators: slight, mobile frame; dry, variable-texture skin; quick, light sleep with tendency to wake between 2–4am; highly variable appetite; marked preference for warmth; mentally quick with tendency toward anxiety under stress.

Confidence: High — consistent indicators across 9 of 13 questions.
⚖️

Vikriti — Current Imbalance

Vata aggravated (significant) · Pitta mildly elevated

Prakriti–Vikriti gap: Vata significantly in excess of baseline. Patient reports increased anxiety, disrupted sleep, irregular digestion, and heightened cold sensitivity over the past 3 months — consistent with Vata aggravation pattern. Secondary Pitta elevation indicated by skin inflammation and acid reflux.

Likely drivers: irregular schedule, increased travel, disrupted meal timing.
🔥

Agni Assessment

Vishama agni (irregular digestive fire)

Patient reports highly variable appetite — strong hunger some days, complete absence others. Digestion described as "unpredictable." Occasional bloating post-meal. Koshta: krura (dry/hard tendency). Ama indicators present: coated tongue reported, occasional heaviness after eating.
⚠️

Red Flags — Review Before Appointment

⚠ Medication flag: Patient reports daily warfarin use for atrial fibrillation (since 2022). Check for herb-drug interactions before any herbal prescription — particularly avoid Ashwagandha, Ginger in therapeutic doses, and Turmeric supplements.

⚠ Contraindication note: Active anticoagulant therapy — abhyanga and panchakarma protocols require medical clearance.
📋

Patient's Stated Priorities

"I want to sleep through the night and stop feeling so depleted. I've had low energy for months and my digestion has been all over the place since I started travelling more for work."

Chief complaint: Chronic fatigue and sleep disruption (onset ~3 months ago). Patient attributes to work travel schedule. Does not mention skin inflammation as a concern — worth exploring given Pitta indicators.
🧠

Manas Prakriti

Rajasic tendency with Sattvic baseline

Patient is mentally quick and driven, with strong goal-orientation and high activity level. Sleep disruption and anxiety under pressure suggest rajas in current excess. Emotional regulation described as "mostly good when not stressed." Good foundation for treatment adherence if protocol is clearly structured.

This is a condensed illustrative example. Full dossiers include all 8 sections including Srotas assessment and full Consultation Agenda.
